Splatcha! is a fast territorial paint battle where colorful blob rivals compete to control as much of the arena floor as possible. Each match lasts 90 seconds, turning every movement into a fight for space. You can spread your color across open ground, dash around the arena, collect useful power-ups, and try to finish the round with more painted territory than your opponent.
How the Paint Battle Works
The objective is simple: cover more of the arena with your color before the 90-second timer expires. Both sides move across the same battlefield and continuously contest territory, so areas you control can quickly become part of your opponent’s side. The match therefore rewards constant movement, quick repositioning, and awareness of how much of the arena each player currently owns.
Game Modes
Splatcha! includes local two-player matches as well as a single-player mode against a bot with three difficulty settings. An Arcade Tower mode is also listed by the developer, while Practice is available directly from the main menu. The game menu also shows an Online Battle option marked as coming soon, so online multiplayer should not yet be treated as an available mode.
Arenas, Power-Ups and Chests
Matches take place across five unique arenas. During a duel, players can collect power-ups and interact with golden chests while continuing to fight for painted territory. These extra elements give you reasons to move beyond simply covering nearby floor and create opportunities to change the momentum of a match.

Player Tips
- Keep moving. Since territory is created through movement and painting, staying active gives you more opportunities to expand your color across the arena.
- Watch the territory bar. The on-screen percentages show how much floor each side controls, so use them to judge whether you need to play more aggressively.
- Use your dash to reposition. A dash can help you move quickly toward open territory or escape a heavily contested part of the arena.
- Do not ignore pickups. Power-ups and golden chests are part of the arena design, so consider their position while planning where to move next.
